Just 15 minutes off the strip Sunset Park is a perfect course for someone looking to get a round in while in Vegas. With 24 holes and lots of open space you can either play or practice. I took on the 2018 NGT Qualifier layout in this video to see what I was capable of shooting and being able to compare my skill with other disc golfers. With my wife Kelsey behind the camera we had a great afternoon out on the course.

Hope you guys enjoy. This was a fun challenging course setup for me. I’m currently in California and will be filming more content out here.

      1. L.P. Street

Are you coming up to play Shady Oaks? One of the best courses in Northern Cal...

      2. john tardibuono

@Connor Henderson ORANGE color disc are always more Understable. Has to do with the dye density.

      3. Aaron Vickers

Killing it dude! I like how you're taking your time with it all. As in not rushing to an X step and working on your angles. Keep em coming!

      4. Schaisse Wolfhausen

That’s a damn fine way to finish a round!! You’re gonna be bangin’ chains in the tournaments, Mr. Smith. Have a good year and some good fun, brother!

      5. Chris Young

I would suggest incorporating the Xstep and run-ups to your lie right away. the hole you went in the ob ball field, i bet with a little xstep run up you would of stayed smooth and stayed safe. if you practice without the proper footwork for a few weeks then i feel like you are going to have to re learn again when you incorporate the xstep.

    2. 100% Conjunto

Always take the open route on your upshot. You don't need to backhand approach when there is an open touch flick route. Several holes you took the super hard backhand when there was a wide open flick shot. You got Great potential and are Blessed to be sponsored and getting personal lessons from 5X World Champ McBeth. Take Care God Bless DG4L

    3. The Anchor Point

Drinkin game - take a shot every time the words a anhyzer is said!!🥃👍🏼

Tip 1: The scoober is super useful, use what you know from past experiences. Tip 2: listen to the wife. When my wife comes along with me I play better idk why she always has the best advice! Keep up the great work and cannot wait to see how far you can crush once you add a walk up!

    6. Ron Finuf

      Jokes on them ! lol

    7. Brant Churchill

Love the commentary and how thoughtful you are with your play. As a avid disc golfer it is really fun watching someone learn.

    8. Trick shot vids

      No

    9. Trenton Freeman

Love the content but the hair on the screen is killing me haha! ( I am a cinematographer by trade)

    10. Schaisse Wolfhausen

If I threw a “Scoober” I would end up about thirty feet from the wrong side of anywhere... if your Ultimate experience allows for it, do it! (It obviously does, good sir)

    11. Trenton Snoble

Anyone know what range finder he is using?

    12. Jamie Pageau

Dude - the scoober ! Bad ass ! Use it ! Who cares what style or form as long as you are comfortable and can put it in the basket .

    13. Matt Mccannon

Fairways you should try are Undertaker and Raptor

    14. Stephen Quevillon

if youre not 9 for 10 at 30 ft... take your bag off... lol

    15. John Gray

You need to get a destroyer

    16. BlackHawk10000

Do you find yourself messing with your frisbee form that used to be totally zoned in, now that you’re doing Disc Golf? (I remember it really killing my ultimate form....)

    17. James Lahr Disc Golf

Say you need a longer meteor. Try a beat-in big z crank!! It's my all-time favorite driver.

    18. Toni Karhu

i think u should use more of your forehand when you play! you need those variations on your game for example when your in bush or behind tree and have to flick it...... just saying

I would say at least early on in your disc golf career, get used to taking your bag off even for those little short putts. I've seen it happen plenty of times, and had it happen to myself plenty of times too, that I'll just be mentally checked out already by that point, and miss those stupid little 5-15ft putts. Just take the bag off and make sure to focus and finish out the hole properly. When you get to the level of McBeth, probably less of a concern. I would say it's a good habit at least.

    22. Andy Wlasniewski

Who else was bothered by the hair on the right side of the lens?

      1. Brodie Smith

Haha Kelsey caught that and finally fixed it

    23. Dion Chelsey Clifford

We’re always running it! Nice one Kels

    24. richard white

actually that mamba might be to flippy... you probably need a destroyer or maybe a tern

    25. Marty Smith

Brodie it is 3 feet, one meter from the OB line!!

    26. Marshall Rex

Esp force on 13 would’ve been money for you. Stable and can handle that wind

    27. Ben Coleman

Interesting stuff. When is first competition on the cards? Curious also what is the statues of your actual golf? Is this parked whilst the Disc golf takes priority?

    28. kjr63

Heat = driver version of Meteor?

    29. Josh Parks

One thing that really helped me with short putts was that I was trying to putt to the chains. You have to putt through the chains.

    30. Cson Po

Brodie, on hole 13, you asked what disc would have been better for that drive. In 400 feet and in headwind, the Anax can definitely be a good disc for that shot, you just need a bit more hyzer angle. The disc flipped quickly due to your power and the headwind. You can release it on more of a hyzer and trust the Anax will flip up to flat and even anhyzer in a headwind.

    31. Nils Begemann

A little help i hope. Sorry i translate from German :) The place you throw if you OB is: "From a location that is up to 1 m (3 feet) from and perpendicular to the location the last time the disc passed the OB line." and If the Disc place on the OB line or near by you must replace your disc 1m (3 feet) from the line in bound! YOU must stay in bound! I think thats the rules. If wrong please improves me.... Great Videos and i can´t wait to see your first competition.

    32. wartaru fox

The rule is not three meters it is three feet hahahhahaha😂

    33. Trevor Pomicpic

Yo Brodie, had no idea you were in Vegas, hope you enjoyed the park, I walk there nearly every week and it's a great place, one of my favorite parks to be at. Also if you ever play here again and you see a bunch of people on their phones wandering around the course, they're just playing Pokemon Go, so just call out Fore and they'll move out of your way.

    34. Igor Popov

Hole 13, use that flippy anax but throw it on a little hyzer to stand up and ride all the way to the basket. Maybe even with a small run-up on the tee as well.

    35. Jacob Vanderhyde

Keep in mind that if you throw an overstable disc like the anax into a headwind it will hold an anhyzer angle longer because the wind is increasing the disc's airspeed which means that it will behave like you threw it harder.

    36. RMFT Rushing

If you're ever in the southeast, Medal of Honor Park in Mobile, AL has a course that'll really test your skills. It's all par 3s, but it's through some thick woods. Trees.... nothing but trees....

    37. Frölfênűűgen!!! !

You get 1 metre relief, not 3. But that's ok you're learning and doing well. Keep huckin those discs.

    38. Derek Pearson

frolf in minnesota youll learn about trees that looks like on open field compared to our wooded mess of a course

    39. Teddy Sirota

Hole 13- With your power, Anax is a great choice. However, your release was a little too flat for it to fly 406. Try releasing it with a little hyzer next time, and let it flip to flat and ride :)

    40. 1989DiscGolfer

With your power and athleticism, I'd guess you'd be turning a premium plastic Avenger SS like a Meteor but farther in no time. Love watching your progress...you're already as good as I am in just a few months (but I've been playing for 30 years!). THANK YOU for bringing your many fans to our beloved sport!

    41. a white

Hole 13 throw the other Anax. The orange one is too understable on that throw, especially into the wind. You need that extra stability into the wind

    42. Lucas Deal

Once you went out of bounds, you were tucked up against the fence. You get a meter relief. The easiest way to mark that is to do three steps in a row, but from shoe-to-shoe with no space in-between. Keep slingin', man.

    43. DG GOD

Only thing I can say is never putt with your bag on!! NEVER!! Other than that the progress is awesome keep crushing bro!! Discraft for the win!!

      1. DG GOD

Also on a side note the Zombeee is absolutely amazing!! BEST disc ever!!

    44. Ethan Boyd

If your looking for an understable fairway from Discraft, Heat or Mantis would be good options. If those are too flippy for you, then you can try an Undertaker. Stalker is also a decent option for a lower speed fairway.

    45. Loren Barnhurst

Love the alternate shot selections you contemplate. And for me it is a definite ‘bag off’ for every putt. I’ve paid the price for being lazy/cocky too many times early on in my learning process with unnecessary missed putts.

    46. Jordan Och

Love the content. If you are wanting to work on your forehand I would suggest learning to forehand an under stable disc.

    47. Gabriel Curl

      That scoober is amazing

    48. Steve

Loving the content and watching you pick this up so quickly. Keep it up bro... you are great for the sport!

    49. BaronVonSilkyBeard

You only get a meter for relief on the fence shot there. So 3/4 steps heel to toe is roughly a meter, not 3 strides. Almost right.

    50. Calan Darklighter

I've always been told beginners should never putt with your bag on your back. So, I don't do it.

    51. Scott Campbell

Something like a meteor in a driver? Try a heat it's a sweat under stable fairway driver or try a Thrasher its an understable distance driver. They both bomb and once you get your touch down you can shread wooded courses with the heat.

    52. Diego Alejandro Gómez Morales

      Disc Golf is boring

    53. drumphil21

Hole 13: You should have used your other ANAX, the pink swirly one. Throw over-stable discs into the wind. They will fight that wind. Today, you used the orange ANAX, which you stated earlier that it tends to go to the right for you.

    54. captain34g

This is basically a gimme birdie. Continues to par. The pain of disc golf lol

    55. Discgolfer Quebec Jp

3 meters from O.B you wish hahahha

    56. Tim3B4ndit

in the words of my boi Zac Radford "I didn't come here to lay up."

    57. Jimmy The Stinkstick

Brodie's natural talent and tall stature gives Ken Climo vibes.

    58. ryan toombs

      Nobody thinking ob stroke

    59. Slyder28

Hope you get to play DeLavega w Paul soon. Have played for quite a while but Im learning a lot about disc golf from you, great job! I rush my pre-shot routine too, LOL my wife tells me that all the time ha ha enjoying the content

    60. aclemans

I used the scoober today, it intrigued me....surprisingly effective....I might find myself scoobin a few times a round if windy. 👍👍
